The government has invited bids in a tender for the building of the planned new government quarter near Nyugati railway station. The construction will take place on a 180,000sqm site and the cost has been capped at HUF 142.5 billion (EUR 582 million). Bids must be submitted by July 27. Under the proposed PPP, the winning bidder will fund the entire project and operate the offices, which the government pledges to rent for 25 years. Bidders must have assets of at least HUF 3 billion (EUR 12 million).
