Under the agreement, the cost of shipping back the illegal waste
would be totally covered by Bavaria.
The Hungarian-Bavarian intergovernmental committee met in
Budapest earlier this month to discuss returning the household
waste, originating from Bavaria and Baden-Wuertenberg in Germany and
illegally dumped in central Hungary since December 2006.
In an earlier statement, Environment Minister Gabor Fodor said
that 60 percent of the illegal German waste had already been shipped
back to Germany.
