Electronics retail chain Electro World (EWM) will apply for bankruptcy protection within weeks, chairman of the board Csaba Polgár told business daily Világgazdaság last week after EWM closed one of its Budapest stores.
“The bankruptcy protection is necessary because EWM is using all its money to pay the operational costs and the company is currently unable to pay off its debts,” Polgár said.
