Audience award winner Korinna Kocsis (centre) on the catwalk of the TV2 pageant the Beauty of Hungary. Kocsis was selected as the second runner-up but refused to accept the Miss Intercontinental Hungary title that goes along with it because she suspected foul play. The gritty 22-year-old may have to face a libel lawsuit for the comments she made about the pageant. In a post on her Facebook page Kocsis said that despite her popularity among fans, she had to face “significant headwind” and noted that she made the decision to give up a potential title before the final took place. She also claimed that the Facebook post was written before the event, because she knew that she was not going to win. Regardless of her remarks, according to the organisers she could avoid the lawsuit by retracting her claim as part of a public apology. Apparently it was the international licence holder of the event who demanded that management take action in the form of a multi-million-forint lawsuit. “The truth is what’s most important for us, not the lawsuit or the money,” managing director Kata Sarka told tabloid Blikk. “If she apologises and tells everyone that everything was played fair, then we will not go to the court.”
