With Royal Catering the Corinthia Hotel Budapest has broadened its spectrum of premium offers: from now on the excellent service, the five-star culinary art and the unique customer experience of the Corinthia can also be enjoyed away from the prestigious building on Erzsébet körút. What distinguishes Royal Catering from the ocean of similar offers is that this catering service offers a 360-degree experience: from the transport to the venue to decoration to the entertainment programme – all are part of the service package.
Not unlike a theatre play, a successful event requires not only superb actors and the best of props but a perfect setting for the action. The appropriate setting is of equal importance as the culinary selection part of the Royal Catering service package. At the same time there is plenty of room for individual wishes and proposals. No matter if you like a hypermodern high-tech building or a castle hall, Royal Catering will find the perfect and unique location for every customer.
So far customers can choose between five different and special venues, including very different styles and sizes such as the royal castle Gödöllő, the Pannonia Golf and Country Club or the jeweller Royal Diamonds. Even more unique and exceptional venues are planned; soon more than 30 will be up for choice.
Ride the retro bus to your event
For the audience of journalists, event organisers, CEOs and other VIPs who were invited to join the introductory party of this new service from Corinthia Hotel Budapest’s product line, Royal Catering arranged a very special event. First, the guests were collected at the Corinthia and driven to Buda in an old but beautifully restored Ikarus retro bus from 1964. Second, the Ybl Villa in District XII provided the perfect setting for them to test Royal Catering.
If wished, these are the kind of elements that can be part of the Royal Catering service package. Other examples of the special treatment that guests can expect were on show at Ybl Villa, from the special seating arrangements to the menu designed especially for the occasion by executive chef Péter Bolyki.
“Royal Catering is not mass-produced but a totally individualised service,” Corinthia Hotel Budapest General Manager Thomas M. Fischer said in his introduction speech. This is reflected in the slogan that Royal Catering has adopted: “Because it’s personal.”
And this leads to another unique feature offered by this new catering service: The Event Configurator. This online tool, which is available on PC and mobile devices, aims to make event planners’ work easier by enabling them to show and set their customers a framework for the event they are organising.
In a few easy steps anybody can get an overview of the services Royal Catering is offering, including table and venue decoration and entertainment program. Then the user receives a convenient PDF document with all the important event-related information. Further details and special requests will be discussed later by phone or in person.

This kind of online tool innovatively follows the “Customise” fashion that is popular on the internet. The notion of being in control of every last detail – just a few mouse clicks away – appeals to more and more customers. Asked what are the limits to the wishes and request of clients, Director of Local and Entertainment Sales Szabolcs Timku replies: “There are none.”
Timku sees the biggest advantage of Royal Catering in the security that clients gain. Instead of having to deal with many different service providers and suppliers, they can place all these tasks in the hands of a provider they already know and trust. If you are planning a conference, your group can be accommodated in the Corinthia Hotel Budapest , have your conference sessions in its meeting rooms and then indulge in the perfect service of Royal Catering for your social program.
