Wizz Air will fly to 29 destinations in 18 countries from Budapest this winter, the low-cost Hungarian airline said on Tuesday while unveiling its timetable. The schedule includes four weekly flights to Dubai, ten to Moscow, four to Barcelona, two to Kutaisi in Georgia and two to Thessaloniki. Wizz Air is Central and Eastern Europe’s biggest low-fare airline, flying from 17 bases to 96 destinations with a fleet of 47 A320 Airbus aircraft. It carried more than 13.5 million passengers last year, the company said.
Pilots and flight attendants of the airline will be able to prepare for flights at a new base completed in Terminal 2 of Liszt Ferenc International Airport, the airline announced on Tuesday. In the new, 325-square-meter crew centre – equipped with locker rooms, showers, and a kitchenette – pilots receive relevant information about their next flights as well as meteorological reports and all other important data required for the smooth and safe completion of their flights.
“I am certain that my colleagues will quickly take to the new facility which is a lot more convenient and up-to-date than the previous one,” said Diederik Pen, operations director of Wizz Air.
