294 people played the Cup Song at the same time, setting an unofficial Hungarian record at the Funside Balaton international summer camp in Balatongyörök, Hungary, on 17 July 2014. The campers and teachers were joined by the runners-up of the 2014 local X-factor, the band ByTheWay, who had previously played this song on live television
The record attempt was accomplished by the camp’s 7 to 17 year-old participants, as well as its camp counselors. The song itself was played live by the students of the Funside Balaton Music Camp, with children playing the guitar, the bass, the drums and the piano, with a 13-year-old camper singing the vocals.
The song called ‘Cups’, made famous by Anna Kendrick in 2013, was performed on Hungary’s popular X-factor talent show by contestants ByTheWay, who went on to finish runners-up in the competition. The bank accepted the camp’s invitations to join the kids in the record attempt.
