For many the Italian way of life is a symbol of joie-de-vivre, indulgence and a lively atmosphere. That’s why we love Italian fashion as well as Italian scooters such as the famous Vespa and above all Italian food. But dinner for the Italians includes a pre-dinner drink, the so-called aperitif. It is usually an alcoholic drink that helps to pass the time until food is served and to prepare the stomach for an excellent meal. Aperol is one such drink and is not only one of Italy’s favourite aperitifs but has also found its place on German and Austrian dinner tables. Now Aperol is going to win Hungary’s hearts.
In 1919 the Barbieri brothers presented their orange-red aperitivo liqueur to the public and still nowadays this bittersweet drink is manufactured to the original recipe. This is part of Aperol’s worldwide success. Since last month and until the end of August Aperol is also running an open-air bar on the steps leading down to District V’s Akvárium Klub.
Even from afar there is no way of overlooking Aperol Garden, thanks to the blazing sunny orange of the bar and the furnishing that shines at the visitor. Already for decades the Aperol orange has represented the brand. Next to the bar the garden provides space for tables that are comfortably arranged under romantic trees. Optionally one can sit on a normal chair or use one of the rather sporty sitting bags in Aperol Garden.
But be careful – when you savour this summer drink you might slide a little lower in these seats than intended. In a location with a fresh, new and nonchalant image like Aperol Garden there is of course one thing that cannot be missing: a soccer table. Needless to say this gadget is also glowing sunny orange-red.
So everything is set for a fun afternoon or evening with friends. The only thing left to do is to order a drink from the bar. No long contemplation is needed to decide what to order, because the single, unchallenged star on the menu is: Aperol Spritz.
Aperol has been advertising this wonderful refreshing mixture of Aperol, Prosecco and soda water since 1950. Making Aperol Spritz is as easy as 3, 2, 1 with the simple three-step recipe. Mix three parts of Prosecco with two parts of Aperol and one splash of soda water. Top it with some ice and a slice of orange and you have the perfect mixture.
Aperol Garden impresses with the quality of their ingredients. The Prosecco does not come in a bottle that once opened loses its sparkle pretty fast, but just like in Italy it comes in a barrel. This way the natural fizzy quality is preserved as long as possible.
During this month Aperol Garden is going to attract guests to visit this new and trendy location with numerous promotion campaigns, for example this Friday and on 9 August. Aperol Garden with its open-air bar and relaxed lounge atmosphere is the perfect meeting point for a little get-together with friends to tune into the right mood for a nice dinner or a party night. But also outside of Aperol Garden you can enjoy the authentic spirit of Aperol: Trattoria Pomo d’Oro, DOC Vino Bar, Klikk Bistrobar, Café Vian and Ötkert are locations recommended by Aperol itself.
