The Hegyvidék Centre at Apor Vilmos tér in District XII is special among Budapest’s several shopping malls. Margit Nyári, its new director, explains why.
“We are doing our best to offer exclusive services and high-value offers to our customers that they can’t find anywhere else,” Nyári says. “Our motto – ‘Shopping presented in a special way’ – means that people who come to us can do their shopping or eat and drink delicious dishes and drinks in a calm, pleasant environment.”
Furthermore, the shopping mall in a well positioned location tries to offer its customers an individual and varied offering, which lays emphasis both on special goods and high quality.
One of the specialties is Restaurant Tanti, which was awarded a Michelin star at the beginning of this year. “We are proud that only our shopping mall can present such a highly-ranked restaurant,” Nyári says. In addition, an Italian restaurant, Na’Pasta Bistro, will be opening soon.
Not only are fine meals available at the shopping mall, you can also find the ingredients to prepare fine food in your own home, for example meat specialities from MészárSteak or fish, prawns and mussels from Vörös Homár (in English: Red Lobster).
There are also many fine-dining ingredients in the gastro and bio-shop Delizia Gourmet and More. The pastry shop La Praline and the chocolate shop Swiss Selection each specialise in sweet temptations.
“The selection of special exclusive fashion brands is also one of our main features,” the director says. One of these is Schiffer Upper Class, where stylist Miklós Schiffer and his colleagues sell tailored shirts and suits, helping gentlemen to find the right suit that fits their personal style and personality.
Another such shop is Emanuel Berg, with exclusive shirts, blouses and accessories. Please offers sophisticated Italian ladies’ fashion as an alternative for your everyday closet. Danish fashion brand Dagminell has opened up in Hegyvidék Centre as well.
“We started on a path three years ago, when we opened our gates, which is surely worth continuing,” Nyári says. “As a director it’s my job to make sure that our clients can find everything they are looking for in our shops, and then return home being satisfied and be happy to return again. My goal is that they will feel like home in our centre.”
This is her credo. She adds that the shopping mall also thinks about the environment. For example, it is equipped with an intelligent lighting technique that both saves energy and provides a pleasant atmosphere. Other attractions are a bicycle parking garage with closed changing room and a fuel station for electric cars.
Christmas is in the air, of course, and some of the seasonal programs offered are baking gingerbread, decorating cupcakes and similar activities. Further, they are offering a gastro course for children in collaboration with the cooks of Ilyenház cooking school.
