Minister of the Interior Sándor Pintér and his Croatian counterpart, Vlaho Orepic, have announced the reopening of three railway border crossings between the countries. The crossings at Murakeresztur-Kotoriba, Gyekenyes-Koprivnica and Magyarboly-Beli Manastir were closed last October because of the refugee crisis. The ministers said the move indicates the improved bilateral relations in their fields. Cooperation could continue in the areas of tourism and mine sweeping, Orepic said. Pintér said their talks helped to sort out controversies, noting that former co-operation, including Hungarian policemen patrolling at resorts on the Adriatic, joint border patrolling and cooperation in combating crime, was interrupted by the migrant crisis.
