Hungary should speed up its drawdowns on European Union funding in light of Brexit, an official at the Human Resources Ministry said in Saturday’s issue of daily Magyar Idők. Brussels will not be able to break off contracts signed earlier, state secretary Tamás Kopeczi Bocz, who is in charge of EU development policy, told the paper. The ministry plans to pay out 219 billion forints in subsidies for projects by the end of this year.
