The Office of the Chief Prosecutor of Budapest will launch an official procedure at the Public Procurement Arbitration Board (KDB) regarding some purchases by the National Bank of Hungary’s foundations. The chief prosecutor’s office is of the view that the foundations failed to call tenders for procurements as required by law, said chief prosecutor Tibor Ibolya. A decision is the sole competence of the KDB, he added. The KDB recently censured the funds for failing to register as entities required to call public procurement procedures, Ibolya noted.
