A Hungarian-British business council will be established at the Hungarian embassy in London, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó has said at a Hungarian-British business forum in Budapest. The council will co-ordinate with and support Hungarian companies present on the UK market and British companies active on the Hungarian market, Szijjártó said. Hungary’s government is trying to prevent the UK’s decision to leave the European Union from harming Hungarian-British ties, he added. At talks on the UK’s exit, Hungary will press for unobstructed investment, trade and economic relations between the UK and the EU, Szijjártó said. Hungary would also defend the interests of Hungarians working in the UK.
